Interactive Communication Game “Dodge City”
History
The village of “Dodge City” was founded quite recently — only three years ago.
Previously, these lands belonged to the Pawnee tribe, but thanks to Mayor Sam Brennan — who at the time was still just a simple cowboy — peaceful relations were established with the Native Americans.
The settlers successfully registered their land plots, and now the entire surrounding area belongs to them.
The Native Americans are not yet aware of this.
“Dodge City” Town News
For many years, the Wild Bill gang kept nearby settlements in fear.
They robbed banks, attacked stagecoaches, and extorted “protection fees” from farmers — supposedly to protect them from Native American attacks.
Two months ago, the gang fell into a trap jointly set by the sheriffs of Bontemps and “Dodge City”.
All bandits were killed, and Wild Bill himself was captured, put on trial, and hanged.
However, rumors persist that he managed to hide the stolen fortune somewhere nearby — in the vicinity of “Dodge City”.
A week ago, the herd at the “Fenona” ranch sank into a swamp — only half of it could be saved.
Who was to blame? Native trackers who lost their way, or cowboys who strayed from the trail?
Two days ago, the town was shaken by shocking news: Mayor Sam Brennan was murdered.
All of “Dodge City” remains in shock — he was respected and loved.
The investigation is ongoing, but a new mayor has not yet been elected.
Today, a representative of the railroad company arrived in town.
An emergency meeting is being held at the saloon to decide whether the new railway will bypass “Dodge City” or pass through the canyon.
However, this canyon is a sacred site of the Pawnee tribe.
The railroad company is unaware of this, as legally the land belongs to the townspeople.
To approve the construction, at least 75% of the townspeople must give their consent.
The time given — only two hours.
If the vote is positive, the village will receive 3% of the company’s profits — an enormous sum for such a small community.
If not, the railroad will be rerouted elsewhere.
However, not all residents agree with this deal.
And how will the Native Americans react if their sacred land is taken away?
The entire town is asking questions:
Who killed the mayor?
Where is Wild Bill’s hidden fortune?
Will a war with the Native Americans begin?
And will the railroad ultimately pass through our town?
